Verses
Privacy Policy
Effective 9 July 2026
Verses ("we", "the app") helps you find guidance in scripture. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service, we do not sell data, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address or phone number (for sign-in and one-time codes), or your name and email when you use Google sign-in. Guest sessions create an anonymous account with no personal details.
- Your content — the questions you ask, verses you save, and preferences you set (chosen scriptures, reminder time, timezone, display settings).
- Device push token — only if you enable the daily verse reminder, so we can deliver the notification. Removed when you sign out or delete your account.
- Technical basics — IP-derived request metadata used for rate limiting and abuse prevention; standard server logs.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.
How it is used
To operate the app: answering your questions, syncing your saved verses and settings across devices, sending the daily reminder you asked for, securing accounts, and preventing abuse. Nothing else — no advertising, no sale of data, no third-party marketing.
Where it lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Google Cloud (API hosting and push delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging), Vercel (web hosting), Resend (sign-in code emails), and Twilio (sign-in code SMS). Each processes data solely to provide the service. Data is encrypted in transit.
Deleting your data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete Account. See verses.co.in/account-deletion for details. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Children
Verses is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
